Hunting opportunities in the Kellerwald near Jesberg

For guests who hunt, there is the possibility—by prior arrangement—to participate in hunting sits in the owner’s nearby hunting grounds in the Kellerwald near Jesberg in Northern Hesse. The area is located in a natural setting and is primarily a field hunting area directly bordering the Kellerwald forest. Typical game includes roe deer, wild boar, and red deer. The hunting grounds cover more than 100 hectares and are attractively located just about a 5-minute drive from the vacation home.

Important requirements & information

This offer is exclusively for guests who hold a valid hunting license. Participation is only possible with prior written hunting permission and personal coordination. All hunting, firearms, and animal welfare regulations must be observed independently by the hunting guest.

Hunting stand opportunities

By prior arrangement, hunting sits can be organized in the nearby hunting grounds. The hunt takes place in a quiet, natural setting with forest and meadow areas along the Kellerwald.

Stand fee

Für die Bereitstellung eines Ansitzes wird eine Aufwands- bzw. Ansitzgebühr von 60 € pro Ansitz und pro Person erhoben. Details zu Zeitpunkt, Dauer und Ablauf werden individuell vor dem Aufenthalt abgestimmt.

Hunting activities

Hunting is carried out independently by the hunting guest. Personal guidance by the owner of the hunting grounds is generally not provided. Which game is approved for hunting will be specified by the owner of the hunting grounds prior to the hunting sit.

Handling of harvested game

Harvested game must be properly handled and field-dressed by the hunting guest.
The venison can be taken by the guest; in this case, a flat fee of €2 per kg (field-dressed weight) will be charged.
Trophies may of course also be kept by the hunting guest.

Requirements

A valid hunting license is required to participate. The hunting guest is responsible for complying with all hunting regulations, firearms laws, and safety requirements.
