Ursulinenhof is a quietly located vacation home in the Kellerwald region near Jesberg in northern Hesse, Germany. The house is set in the middle of nature, about one kilometer outside the village of Hundshausen, and offers the perfect setting for families, friends, and small groups looking to relax and unwind.
Surrounded by forests, meadows, and gently rolling hills, the house provides ideal conditions for a peaceful nature getaway.
Its location near Kellerwald-Edersee National Park makes the vacation home a perfect starting point for hiking, biking, and day trips to Lake Edersee.
Due to its exceptional location and the expansive property of approximately 7 hectares (about 17 acres), unique nature experiences begin right outside the front door.
- Camping right in the heart of nature. Whether on the meadow or at the edge of the forest, it’s a true adventure—especially for children. The vacation home is close by as a comfortable place to retreat.
- Forest bathing & slowing down. The house is nestled within its own private woodland—ideal for forest bathing and mindful time to unwind. The fresh forest air and the natural aromatic compounds it contains (terpenes) promote relaxation and well-being.
- Collecting sweet chestnuts in autumn. Sweet chestnut trees grow in our private forest and now produce abundant fruit. In autumn, guests are welcome to collect them by arrangement—a special experience for both children and adults.
- The Horses
Across from the vacation home—separated only by the courtyard—is a facility with an indoor riding arena, stables, and paddocks. This part of the Ursulinenhof is home to a veterinary practice that cares for high-quality breeding mares.
Especially during the season from March to August, you will often see impressive horses in the nearby paddocks, sometimes mares with young horses from the previous year.
Since the horses belong to different owners and stay at the facility only temporarily, they are not meant to be touched or fed. We kindly ask our guests to observe the horses only from a respectful distance.
Their calm presence adds to the peaceful, relaxed atmosphere of the Ursulinenhof.

The Apartment
The separate apartment is ideal for couples or solo travelers. Cozy, private, and fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. If needed, the apartment can also be booked together with the main house. It´s connected to the House.
